Today we’d like to introduce you to Celestíal L’amour.
Hi Celestíal, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Both my husband (Luis Lopez) and I have been performing since we were kids and once we got together, we decided to pursue our dreams together and make a band out of it.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has definitely not been easy in any way. It has been a struggle finding committed members. Venues showing no interest, trying to encourage the local bands to set up shows together and getting nothing in response. As a new band, no one wants to give us the time of day. However, we kept pressing forward despite the opposition, and everything seemed to fall into place at the right time.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We really enjoy encouraging and uplifting people. There’s a lot of brokenness in this world and we’re trying to give the message of hope through our music. I am proud to be a mother to our two-year-old daughter Aubrey Rae and be able to express myself through music and take her along for the ride. I know she’s proud to see her parents doing what they love and I hope as she gets older, she realizes that anything is possible if you set your mind to it. I think what sets me apart from others is just simply being myself and not letting the outside opinions affect anything in my life.
