Today we’d like to introduce you to Crystal Boudreaux.
Hi Crystal, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Welcome to PhotoSnapsByKrisB! As a little girl, I have always dreamed of photography. I come from a large family located in New Orleans and surrounding parts of Louisiana, where there were always a bunch of family gatherings, and so smiling for the camera was a must. My cousin Reggie and others was the family photographer and just like him, I want to continue making families and friends smile.
As most photographers, I started as a hobby because I love to make my family smile and I always thought I was average. I allowed self-doubt to get in the way but with the push of my husband, he encouraged me to go for my dream.
Like other photographers, I use my camera lens to capture moments that matter the most, whether it is capturing someone’s confidence or an unexpected moment, a special glance from your partner, or the laughter from your family.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Working in photography the road has not always been smooth. Being from New Orleans and going through many Hurricanes, this has caused us to relocate to Dallas. Now that we are here the trick is to find clientele and just get the word out to capture those special moments. Photography is a saturated market anyone with a phone now can capture moments but my goal is to push through and continue to show how important hiring a photographer can be. My efforts are certainly working and my clientele is growing.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My photography business called PhotoSnapsByKrisB. I specialize in lifestyle portrait photography, but I offer personal brand, graduating seniors, boudoir, family, and couples’ photography sessions as well. I’m based in the Princeton area, but I do travel out if needed. I am most proud of my growth as a company being able to get out my comfort zone, serving fun-loving, free-spirited, powerful people wanting a fun, stress-free photographic experience to capture all the important milestones of their lives.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
The credit goes to many people in my life. As of late it’s definitely has been my husband that continues to support and push me. Also, I am a part of Tomayia Colvin Education- The Business of Photography group, where I have meet a lot of talent photographers who also love the craft. And I can’t not forget my photo bestie Stephanie of Phoenix Michele Photography, she is the bomb and make sure that I do not fall short and want to see me grow and continue to build
