Today we’d like to introduce you to Keisha Wilson.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Jasleah Palace Prints started during the pandemic. I had been furloughed from work and still healing from a broken arm. I was so bored and always wanted to learn how to make shirts at home. Trenisha Davis, owner of JPO4, was an essential part in the growth of JPP. She would answer any questions I had about the process and would show me anything I wanted to know to the best of her knowledge. Once I got the hang of things, I started creating basic things & then, my daughter, Ayva would draw pretty picture of shirts and designs. And I would be the person to bring it to life for her. I am still growing and learning everything I can about the products and I sell and want to sell in the future.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As most people say, I didn’t say the road would be easy but it’s worth it! My initial challenge or obstacle was when I created a shirt for my brother, Junior, CEO of CCC. The shirt had his face on it with his slogan Fresh Fade Friday. And someone had taken the photo we posted online and put it on multiple websites selling it for 50$ Or more. We were definitely shocked but it gave me great hope that my work was that popular! I had to shut down my company for a little while to take proper action at that time. There are many struggles in doing custom things for people but no struggle is greater than God. This journey has been nothing short of amazing and promising.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I create custom t-shirts, tumblers, dominos, bows, tutus, home decor, and so much more. We are known for our t-shirts and tumblers! I am proud of everything I create! I enjoy the reactions of my clients when they get their products and they are happy. That is always and will forever be my favorite part! JPP is different because we create an experience for our customers not only in customer service but in our pricing, packaging and products. We aim to make our customers remember us by every detail!
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
COVID 19, has taught me that you can do anything. There is never a right time to do it so just start now! That business will not move if you do not start. It all starts with you.
