Today we’d like to introduce you to Say Less Quadcast.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Well, it all started with us having discussions in our group message. We discussed and decided to spread and share some of our ideas. We had all at one point or another, brought up the idea of starting a podcast, and so from there, we just keep pushing one another to follow through with a plan. The four of us, Fred Hunter, Marc Plaza, Sam Butler and Eric Richardson, all love discussion; whether is sports-based or just conversation in general, we love to pick at each other’s brains and see things from a different angle.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s been a pretty slow venture so far. The hardest part is just being consistent. Right now, our podcast is a hobby; we aren’t making any profits from doing it. It is just four guys who wanted to bring the barbershop talk to you. There are weeks where none of us want to record; there are times only one doesn’t. Its is safe to say keeping fresh content and ideas is a challenge as well because we don’t want to just repeat ESPN or other sports talk shows; we try to mix it up with the things we talk about but still keep our audience engaged.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
We are a group of four that makes up the Sayless Quadcast. We are a Podcast that are somewhat of your average people that strive to bring you heavy sports talk, emphasis on the heavy, but also want to talk about the other things that your average man or women might go through. Mental struggles, money talks, and just your everyday life challenges that maybe some won’t speak about is what we strive to speak on. We are still growing and still have more you achieve, but so far just getting this up and moving into the right direction is for sure the proud moment so far. We want to give our followers something they can relate to in any fashion, whether through sports or just life situations.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
We hope to maybe take off in the media industry and grow our platform to showcase all of us and what we bring to the table. All four of us are different yet similar in a way we can see where the other’s head is at, whether right or wrong, no matter the topic. If we are able to grow and make a business out of this and not just be a podcast but also have a store of some sort that would have our merchandise and footwear available and maybe even our own studio.
