Today we’d like to introduce you to Veronica Soto.
Veronica, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Maria Veronica Soto, I am from Venezuela and I arrived in this country in 2021. In my country, I developed a professional career of more than 19 years, working for transnational corporations such as PepsiCo Foods in the Commercial area, which allowed me to acquire the necessary knowledge and experience to later take the big step and work as a Business Consultant specializing in Development of New Companies. I studied Business Administration and did a Diploma in Franchise Development.
Upon arriving in the United States, the opportunity arose to provide my services as a consultant for Hispanic entrepreneurs based in the State of Texas. From that moment, I began to work on Franchise Development projects.
Today I am dedicated to accompanying entrepreneurs from the Hispanic community in the Dallas area to develop their businesses.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My great challenge has been to break the paradigm that immigrants cannot achieve success. I think that for me the saying “No one is a prophet in his land” fits perfectly. For me, coming to this country and being able to work doing what I like and what I know how to do is a blessing, and that’s how I feel, Blessed to be able to help Hispanic entrepreneurs in Dallas through my experience and knowledge.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am dedicated to helping Hispanic entrepreneurs develop their businesses.
I studied Business Administration and did a Diploma in Franchise Development. This knowledge and my experience of more than 19 years working with important transnational corporations, is what allows me to do what I do today. Make a venture or business idea become a company. I help transform SMEs by reorganizing and optimizing their processes so that they can correctly use their financial and human resources.
My passion and my commitment to each project I work on are what make me feel most proud.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Crises, if we see them as the great teacher they are, we can take advantage of them to improve. In my case, I had to reinvent myself and change the perspective of how I was going to manage my business and the way I would have to work. Adapting and accepting that my home would be my new office allowed me to broaden my vision and develop aspects that would allow me to get to where I am today.
