Today we’d like to introduce you to Lori Beard.
Lori, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Since I was a teenager and as a stay at home mom, friends would seek my advice. I enjoyed sharing my advice due to my life’s experiences and interest in human behavior and the roots of those behaviors.
As the natural mother of eight children, I was ready to go back to school when my youngest child went into Kindergarten. I received my Life Coach and Clinical Hypnosis Practitioner certifications from the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts because I wanted to transform and impact lives in a professional way.
I opened my practice in May of 2016 and love it! It has been a great journey; helping individuals discover their genius 1-1, writing a book and now reaching out to audiences with my method and message.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
When I started school to become a practitioner, I knew my priorities were on my roles as a wife and mother. I remember doing homework until early hours in the morning because I did not want my studies to get in the way of my main responsibilities. I remember planning my daughter’s wedding, flying overseas to take care of my ill grandmother for some time and being there for my first grand baby’s birth, all through the schooling days!
A year after opening my practice, my husband was diagnosed with a chronic disease. While that presented a challenge, we managed to continue forward. Everything is OK now and I am grateful for the opposition in life because it refines my character and helps me live a more purposeful life. These experiences help me help my clients in a more compassionate and intuitive way.
Please tell us about your work. What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I help individuals, typically corporate world professional women, awaken to live a life of joy and fulfillment. I help them discover their genius as they increase in confidence. I help tap into their inner wisdom to discover what is their calling in life so that they can live it!
I am known to be a Mind Coach, author, and empowerment speaker. I am excited about all the plans I have to reach out to people. I am excited about launching my second edition to my book: Freedom from Self-Slavery, The 7R’s Method, which will become available in Spanish soon. There are other books that I am going to publish, one of them will specifically contribute to a humanitarian cause in my home Island of Puerto Rico.
I am happy to have a YouTube channel where I post interviews with other authors and great business owners and practitioners. I am starting to host retreats and fine-tuning plans for joint ventures with like-minded professionals.
I am unique because I am a Clinical Hypnosis practitioner, I am bilingual, I have been married to my sweetheart for 25 years, I have eight beautiful children, three grandchildren and I am passionate about life!
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Changing lives. Knowing that I am “an answer to prayers” is quite humbling.
