Today we’d like to introduce you to Perry Barber.
Perry, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
On the Sunny Southside of Dallas is where I learned to cut my own hair and practice on my family. I appreciate my brothers Melvin and Antwone and some of my cousins for allowing me to cut their hair and to prepare me to where I am today. This was the beginning from the poverty to profit.
After I graduated from Lincoln High School in Dallas, I enrolled into Texas Barber College to perfect my craft. As my skills grew so did my professionalism. Cutting hair became natural to me, and I believe it is a gift from God. But what help me was learning how to be a professional.
After Texas Barber College, I worked with a other barbershops and noticed that most shops missed a key ingredient. This very important detail was family friendly and diverse environment to welcome all. Also, learned that customer service will my key to success.
As business grew, it was time for me to expand, so me and couple of friends Tony Stephenson and Brent Johnson decided to create the business Holy Hands Barbershop “City on a hill, that cannot be hidden.”
Has it been a smooth road?
Like most small businesses we did have some adversity, but by the Grace of God, we were able to overcome them.

In 2000, Holy Hands became a licensed company and have been Soul of the Community. We are located in Casa View shopping district in far East Dallas.
