Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr, Oyinkansola Jinadu.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I relocated to Dallas, Texas in 2005, got married and have two beautiful boys; Phillip, Peterson and Princeton Adu. I started out my career in 2006 as a mobile freelance MUA with Honeydrops Makeup Artistry; name coined from my 1st name “Oyinkansola”- meaning Honeydrops Into Wealth. Even though fashion and beauty have always been my passion. However, I also had the primary goal of advancing my education beyond my BSc. degree in Microbiology from the University of Lagos. I completed my Masters in Psychology from the University of Phoenix and also received my Doctoral degree in Philosophy in humanities from the United Graduate College and Seminary International.
In 2012, I took started my journey as an educator with DISD, I absolutely fell in love with working with my students for five years of my teaching career. My passion for all things beauty helped me keep pushing my Honeydrops business forward. All the while continuing my freelance beauty business. I had developed a healthy volume of local and international clients. I also added fashion shows and beauty pageants to my business operations, due to several opportunities to partner with other brands. In 2016, I launched the Honeydrops Foundation platform with our very 1st Beauty Pageant focused on raising awareness of Domestic Violence. We went on to receive our 501c3 status, allowing my team and I to develop three major programs and several community platforms with the mission to help take our youth and community beyond domestic and all forms of violence.

As I continue my journey with Honeydrops Foundation, my passion and love to add value through beauty fueled my desire to re-establish my beauty brand. In 2017, we rebranded and opened up a full-service beauty and wellness spa in North Dallas. HD Pro Global is a wellness and beauty brand that empowers, enhances and educates individuals with the desire to have healthy bodies and gain confidence from the inside out; through our holistic approach of services, education, and products.
In one year being operational, we have successfully grown and continue to expand our clientele and students through our services and certification training from our Beauty Institute.
We reached another milestone on November 8th, 2018 when we launched our HD Pro Magnetic brushes. We are currently pending approval for patents and trademarks.
HD Pro Magnetics is an affordable and luxurious brand of makeup tools. This product sets itself apart from the rest by addressing major hygiene and sanitary issues through the compact magnetic technology in the brushes and case designs.
The metallic rose gold plated handle offers a very attractive design that also offers longevity of the brushes. The metallic bass attaches to the bristles tightly, thereby reducing shedding of the hairs. The bristles are made of the highest quality hair fibers, maintaining its softness through several cleaning.
We are working on securing a patent and trademark for this brand and our goal is to sell this globally with and carry our message of awareness to living beyond domestic violence in 2019 and beyond.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No way, no how has my journey been easy. As an immigrant from Africa, starting a new life without family and $800 to my name was definitely a mountain of opportunity I had to climb. I have come a long way and overcome several obstacles that would have defeated many, including unemployment, loss of a relationship and having to start over financially, emotionally and professionally. I continue to push forward toward achieving my goals and building a solid future for my three children and one.

The Honeydrops brand is known for our beauty enthusiast philosophy. We promote all our platforms by incorporating the value of beauty from the inside out.
HD Pro Global and Honeydrops Foundation focus on adding value to our community through education, services and the products we offer. We also add value to our community by giving back and lending our voice to elevate solutions to issues we care about.
What sets us apart is our ability to be an all-inclusive organization, promoting diversity and highlighting the good we desire to see in our organization and the global community.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I define success by the impact I make through my daily interactions. Success is the ability to develop myself and my capacity to a level that allows me to benefit others and be a constant blessing through my gifts, talents, and resources.
The markers for success include legacy and generational wealth that paves the way for others. The ability to have options and create options in areas I’m most passionate about.
