Thanks for sharing your story with us Autumn. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Five years ago I realized I needed more flexibility and availability for my two sons, Mason and Talen when my husbands travel significantly increased. I had been working as a Director of Sales for a Catering and Event Planning company in Dallas and knew I had to make a change. I began doing small social events for friends at their homes and also small corporate receptions.
Having spent many years in college as a food and beverage manager at a high-end golf course organizing golf tournaments, weddings, etc, it was an easy fit. I received my certifications in wedding, meeting and event planning and became the proud owner of S&S Events and Rentals; a local full service, event planning, and rental company. It is truly a one-stop shop. You can find a venue, plan your menu, select your rentals, set up your bar services and any other vendors that you may need. In the most recent months, the business has expanded to also include a venue located in the historic downtown square in Celina, TX. Two 29 on the Square is a 3700 sq ft open space with exposed brick and concrete floors. It can accommodate large and small events up to 120 guests.
Has it been a smooth road?
It has been a lot of hard work but thankfully the support of friends, family and the community have made it all worthwhile.
