Today we’d like to introduce you to Crystal Wise.
Crystal, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I got my start in college in 2009 when a couple of good friends needed some engagement photos. I had always dabbled in photography, but this was the push that made me realize I loved portraits.
I quickly starting booking other clients from word of mouth. It was then my dad said “if people are paying you for this you need to get an education in it” I took his advice and changed my major from Business to Photo Journalism and haven’t looked back since.
Has it been a smooth road?
I am definitely someone who has a tendency to learn lessons by experience rather than advice. Learning things the hard way can be painful.
I didn’t have a mentor or anyone to talk to about challenges, so I try to be open and give advice to any upcoming photographers craving it. If you come to me and want to shadow or need business advice I’ll tell you everything I had to learn the hard way. No secrets here, I’m an open book.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Crystal Clear Photography – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I specialize in Portraits (Weddings, Family and Kiddos) I’m inspired by natural light, lively energy, and candid moments.
I would say I’m most known for my candid photos and goofball personality.
I’m most proud of happy clients who tell me they’re surprised about how easy their session was and years later how much they still love their photos.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Fort Worth has great, people, art, music, small businesses, history. The culture here is wonderful. It’s got a small town feel with big city opportunities.
There’s not much I dislike about Fort Worth. I may be here forever.
