Therez, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I began my career 25 years ago with the launch of my fashion company. The design esthetic of my clothing line was multi-cultural and I traveled the globe selling to clients and participating in fashion shows. In 1999, I began designing wedding gowns and coordinating weddings for couples. Three years ago, I had clients asking me to extend my wedding planning services to include intimate hotel room designs for their wedding night. I was inspired to expand my brand to consist of romantic date night planning because I love “Love”. I adore seeing couples build, fortify and express their love. Being involved in one of the happiest days in a person’s life, as a wedding coordinator and designer is an honor. I wanted to offer services that will assist couples in keeping their romance flame burning strong and tailor these date nights to each couple’s individual needs, whether it’s romance, intimacy or adventure. I started Luxury Romance Concierge from the desire to help couples to keep the flame alive in their marriages or relationships. The idea came to me after interviewing 60+ men for my book, Men and Intimacy, Real Talk. Real Answers (ISBN 978-0-9968325-0-2) and then countering those interviews with women as well. What I discovered is that couples are constantly seeking ways to enhance and build their connections mentally, physically and emotionally. What I also discovered is that there is a lack of communication between couples in sharing and expressing their wants, needs, and desires. Luxury Romance Concierge is designed to help couples be self-expressed. We created an (In-to-me-see) Intimacy Card Game for couples to play to kick off their date night and share from the heart. This was important for me to include these cards in each package because they open up the pathway for couples to affirm each other and learn more about each other in the process. I also worked as a life coach in the field of self-expression and leadership and am the former owner of Thérèz’s Playhouse, which provided couples with ways to rekindle the passion their relationships. It is my experience in working with couples that has provided me the abundance of information to launch this platform of conversation about intimacy, love, and romance.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have worked with my wedding clients for the past three years redesigning their hotel rooms for their honeymoon. Launching Luxury Romance Concierge kicks the honeymoon night up a few notches and it’s not your average date night company. Since we create intimate fantasy nights for couples, we actually re-design spaces for love, romance, and adventure. Our goal is to keep couples happy and playful, as they enhance their romance, their intimacy, and their bliss! One of the biggest challenges that we face is creating awareness around the Luxury Romance Concierge brand. While the concierge industry has been around for many years, the idea of hiring a “romance” concierge is a new phenomenon, we are basically innovators in this space. As a new business concierge services company, it might take some time for our company to break into the market and gain acceptance since we are creating a new sector in the concierge services industry; that is perhaps our major struggle.

Luxury Romance Concierge is an innovative date night service company that serves as a comprehensive “go to” resource for planning the ultimate romantic evening. Each date night is uniquely designed to enhance the passion and love in every relationship. We create fantasy date nights for unforgettable birthdays, engagements, wedding nights, anniversaries, or just because! The focus of Luxury Romance Concierge is to ensure a stress-free evening by managing every aspect of the planning process so that each date night is executed flawlessly and the experience is unforgettable! What I am most proud of as a concierge is the joy that I give to couples. I love being able to provide a service that creates, even more, romance, more intimacy, and more bliss in their relationships.
Our date nights allow couples to experiment with and experience intimacy on other levels. What sets Luxury Romance Concierge apart from other date night companies is the format in which we create from. We cater to couple’s intimate fantasies. We make sure all five senses are stimulated and titillated. We create an ambiance that looks, feels and smells enticing and sensual. We have nine date night fantasies that include; Blindfold Me, Kama Sutra Nights, Erotic Games, Role Play and The Art of Seduction.
We also provide instructions for each date night to make sure each couple gets the most of their desired fantasy. Our clients hire us because they have fantasies that they want to experience with their spouses or partner and are not quite sure where to begin or they lack the time it takes for planning. Luxury Romance Concierge creates the ambiance and provides the essentials for each intimate date night and we cater to all five senses. Nothing says romance more than an intimate setting, and we create an ambiance that exudes intimacy as well as provide outfits that enhance each fantasy. Music is an important component for stimulating sensual, and erotic emotions. Aromas are also important to stimulate sensuality and erotic energy. They soothe, relax, energize and arouse. Touch is the communication of love. It is one of the most intimate acts of romance. It engages the senses for your emotional and physical well-being and pleasure.
We provide elements for physical affection, that include; massaging, cuddling, hugging and kissing. And, let’s not forget about aphrodisiac foods, there are certain foods that stimulate the libido and warm the body. Also included in our packages as add-ons are boudoir photography, spa days, couples cooking classes and much more. I recently got a call from a client whose wife just finished chemotherapy treatment and he wanted to create a romantic atmosphere where he can just hold her, massage her, kiss her and love her completely. I am really looking forward to creating this intimate night for them. Our core strength lies in the power of our planning and design services that create environments that exude romance, communication, and connection for couples. What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I have had so many proud moments in my career… it is challenging to just pick one. I think I am most proud when I set goals and accomplish them, no matter how big or small they are. I love the feeling of accomplishing things I set out to do or create. I hope to have many more proud moments in my life.
