Today we’d like to introduce you to Holly Roberts.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I have always been a creative person. Ever since I can remember, I was either drawing, painting, or stealing my dad’s camera and shooting pictures. Nothing fuels the fire in my soul like creating. I am currently a student working towards a career in dental hygiene, I work full time as an office manager, AND I do photography on the side as well! I definitely have a full plate, but the reward is always worth It. I decided to start my photography business about a year ago now, and the amount of support I’ve received from everyone in my life has been unreal. I’m truly grateful!
Please tell us about your art.
I love to paint as a personal hobby, but photography is my passion that I wish to share with the world. There’s no greater thrill than standing behind the lens and capturing an epic picture. My motto is that I hope to capture magical moments forever in time. I love seeing the reaction of my clients and the excitement they feel when they receive their photographs.
Given everything that is going on in the world today, do you think the role of artists has changed? How do local, national or international events and issues affect your art?
One thing I personally love to do is go to different events to show my support, it also takes pictures and shares them to spread awareness. Photography is a powerful way to convey a message or emotion. With so many conflicts going on in our world, there are many important subjects that should be talked about, and expressed.
