Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I am a law student turned entrepreneur that began creating skincare through DIY blogs on Pinterest. That year, I lost my grandmother who I was very close to. As a coping method, I had begun to include ingredients she had used on me growing up. Turmeric was a popular spice found in the kitchen that worked wonders on the skin. This brought me to bring traditions Ayurvedic methods through clean ingredients in modern skincare.
Please tell us about your business.
I create a New Generation Ayurveda based skincare line that features the World’s ONLY Turmeric peel-off masks. We focus on using unique Indian ingredients by bringing them to the forefront with clean beauty formulations. There is a lack of brown girl inclusion in the skincare industry and we hope to fill that gap by providing skincare that south Asian woman can feel more connected to and are familiar with the ingredients through traditions and culture. Our message is that skin sees no race. Our products are made for all skin types.
Our products are manufactured in India where Turmeric and other ingredients are locally sourced. We are free from parabens, sulfates, toxic ingredient, and synthetic fragrances. We are also cruelty-free.
