Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeannette Cristales.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
At J’s Photography, capturing that special moment is why I decided to pursue my dream. That dream was to open J’s Photography. I have been taking pictures of family and friends for the last 20 years, and I have always felt that I could create more than just a simple photograph. I love making photographs come to life, capturing memories that will last a lifetime. Taking pictures has always been more than a job to me; it is my passion!
Please tell us about your art.
I love creating and capturing memories and bringing photos to life; I am the type of person that loves to enjoy the moments for what they are, Taking pictures and capturing those moments allow me to relive those beautiful memories. Getting my clients to feel the same through their own memories is what inspires me to create the work I do.
What do you think about the conditions for artists today? Has life become easier or harder for artists in recent years? What can cities like ours do to encourage and help art and artists thrive?
I believe that life has become easier for artists to get noticed and share their work through the growth and power of social media. The downside is the competition to get noticed.
Cities like ours can encourage artists to thrive by doing exactly what you all are doing through this interview by giving me the opportunity to tell my story and share the reason why I love and do what I do.
