Kathy Rollwage on Expanding Creative Event Services While Keeping a Personal Touch

Kathy Rollwage has grown her business from face painting into a full-service event experience by listening closely to her clients and building a trusted network of artists to meet their needs. Known for her custom “bling” additions and hands-on creativity, she brings a personalized, interactive element to every event — often letting kids help shape their own designs. By tailoring services based on event size and audience, Kathy ensures each experience feels seamless and engaging. As she continues to expand, her focus remains clear: deliver exceptional service while creatively evolving to offer even more memorable moments.

Kathy, you’ve expanded far beyond face painting into a full range of event services. What inspired you to grow your offerings in this direction?
Out of necessity; many of my existing and new clients were asking for services that I didn’t offer personally, but I knew other artists that could do so, and also represent my company.

Your “bling” additions sound like a unique touch. How do these custom elements elevate the experience for your clients?
I personally create most of them, so they all have my personal touch.  I color coordinate the bling to the chosen design/color. In many cases, I let the children pick out the bling themselves and paint a design to coordinate.

With so many services now available, how do you tailor each event to fit different party sizes and audiences?
One of my main questions is how many guests will be served. With this, I make personal recommendations based on the number of guests and the length of time allowed for our services.

What types of events or clients do you most enjoy working with, and why?
Any family-friendly event is my personal favorite!  There are many times opportunities for guests that have never been painted, tattooed, drawn to experience the fun involved and for others to see the talent that God has given so many of the artists on my team.

As your business continues to grow, what’s your vision for taking your entertainment services to the next level?
My biggest goal is to maintain the highest level of customer service possible and to incorporate as many new services as possible, within my ability to do so.
