Today we’d like to introduce you to Selena Dirden-Ware.

Selena, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I have over 20 years of experience in information technology leadership and execution. I am also a Navy Veteran. One of the additional duties that I had in the Navy was Career Counseling. My passion has always been investing in people specifically from a career standpoint. If I can help clients understand and embrace their value with career coaching, resume creation or interview prep then I have done my job.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road. I have learned the hard way around devaluing your work. Information Technology is a male-dominated field as well as lacking in diversity. I am grateful for my experiences because it gave me the opportunity to pay it forward to others. It is important to be that motivation for others and consistently elevate yourself professionally and personally. As long as we are here, we must inspire individuals to step out of there comfort zone and have the courage to invest in themselves.

Selena Ware Consulting is a niche’ career coaching and consulting firm. The firm specializes in career services for applicants that want to stand out in there field. We offer interview prep, career coaching/counseling and resume creation. We are most proud of our client testimonials and our unique one-on-one approach. We stand out from our competition because our resumes and the consultation we provide is uniquely designed for our clientele.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
The overall customer service along with routine task-driven jobs will continue to be automated by machines, automation, and overseas companies. There is a need for individuals to be more skilled and specialized in industries that require a human touch. The job you are doing right now is most likely a job that will not be available for your children.
