Today we’d like to introduce you to Kira Buckley and Portia Andrews.
Kira and Portia, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
HeyyHealer started as a hashtag. Yes! It’s true. Our founder, Kira Buckley at the time an acupuncture intern as well as herbalist, intuitive holistic coach and writer- found solace in sharing her journey through what healing looked like in her practice of self-care. Kira created the HeyyHealer concept from a need to be more consistent in her personal journey to healing while continuing to hold space for others. Coupling rich imagery with a unique storytelling style of writing she would greet her followers, client and any audience with “HeyyHealer” at the beginning of each interaction.
In January 2019, Kira joined forces with Portia Andrews forming a vision for HeyyHealer as a retail + wellness studio. Portia, an amazing co-owner with a niche for detail and organization, naturally provided a flavorful expertise for the business marketing model and networking with her MBA background. Together they have diligently worked toward allowing HeyyHealer Holistic Health + Wellness Studio to organically unfold into what the community needs-a safe space reserved for kindred souls on a quest for health, happiness and wholeness.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
With each new venture, there is some measure of obstacles to be expected. Fortunately, it has been not only smooth but joyous! The community has welcomed us with open arms. We’re just three months in this location and we’re confident in the mission of HeyyHealer to keep us grounded and focused on the community and not conflict or struggles.
HeyyHealer Holistic Health & Wellness Studio story – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?

HeyyHealer provides an extensive array of natural health + body care products, as well as an herbal collection of African and East Asian raw herbs and tinctures.
HeyyHealer Holistic Health + Wellness Studio specializes in hand-made herbal products and marketed holistic healing merchandise. These products include herbal therapy packs, soaps, balsam eye packs, salves, moisturizers, herbal bath kits, plants, candles, tea blends, essential oils, incense, glass bottle tinctures and more!
What sets us apart is the uniqueness of our custom blend of herbal teas. We give our customers the option to “Sip, Sit or Soak” with their tailored blend. So using the same herbal blend for drinking, bathing or a foot soak, coupled with the relaxing therapeutic services we offer sets us apart.
