Today we’d like to introduce you to Adreona Agnew.

Thanks for sharing your story with us, Adreona. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Growing up, I’ve always been into fashion, art, design and anything that allows me to be creative and express myself. My love for interior design started back when I was in college when I moved into my very 1st apartment. Like most college students, I had a very limited cash budget and wasn’t able to purchase brand new furniture off of a showroom floor so I shopped around at my local Goodwill, Salvation Army and consignment stores and purchased furniture for my new place. Because most of the furniture looked worn & dated, I instantly tried to think of ways I could be creative and make the furniture Items I just purchase look new again. That’s when I went to my local Walmart and purchased paint and other items that I needed to make the transformations. Once done you would’ve thought those $5 bar stools, $10 coffee table I got from that Consignment store and $30 sofa I purchased from Goodwill were bought out of home-goods or some really nice furniture store. Right then and there is when I decided interior decorating was something that I wanted to do. It wasn’t until six years later, December 2018, when I decided to really be serious about it and began to set out and start my business Southern Pizzazz Interiors.

Has it been a smooth road?
As an interior decorator there is a high chance in this field that you have met or will meet a client that has very high expectations for their project. That’s something you should definitely embrace and prepare to encounter. To meet these standards, it is necessary to do your best.These high expectations may include things such as expecting a lot from a small budget or expecting a faster turnaround than is possible. As an interior decorator, you need to be the one to decide what the reality of the situation is, what the available budget will actually accomplish and how long it will take to complete the project. In this line of work, you will find that this is a huge factor; and It is also a challenge, not just for beginners, but one that affects interior decorators/designers at all levels.

Southern Pizzazz Interiors is a decorating and remodeling consulting company. Our goal is to implement decor that gives a room it’s unique appearance by keeping our clients personality in mind to promote a positive day-to-day life. At Southern Pizzazz Interiors; we carefully listen to our clients wishes, understand their vision and do everything we can to exceed our clients expectations. No matter how big or small the space will be, we go above and beyond to make the design process enjoyable and your space come to life.

Yes, our city is a good place for interior decorators/designers. Based upon the growth of our city; this provides me the opportunity to continue to scale up my business to attract new clients which allows me to be successful in a trendy competitive market such as the DFW.
