So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Passion… My story is revolved around passion. I am the owner of Tier One Courses. I began shooting at a very early age. Through the years, I have been a part of a very vast amount and types of firearm training. From the United States Army to courses as a civilian, I have taken my passion for shooting down many of open roads. One of which lead me to start Tier One Courses. You know, no one tells you how hard it is to be successful in this world, as I quickly found out, you will be tested in ways you could never prepare for. Thankfully, I have a God who has always and will always come through for me. Otherwise, I can’t say where I would be today.
My wife and I poured more than money and time into this business, we have given it life through faith! As our story goes on, it has always and will always remain a story of passion!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, of course it has not been a smooth road. If it were easy everyone would be millionaires with successful businesses and time to boot. However, I can’t tell you that we have ever truly struggled. We may have gotten down and somewhat discouraged along the way, but our faith has always outweighed our problems.
Tier One Courses – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Tier One Courses is a company founded on passion and my love for shooting. We offer firearm training for individuals as well as groups. From intro courses to more intermediate courses, we work with many types of people and backgrounds. One size doesn’t fit all in my book and you can’t teach the same lesson the same way to everyone.
License to Carry courses are the most sought-after courses. However, the NRA courses can be a hot ticket item, as well. We are set apart for a very particular reason. That reason is simple… I get the opportunity to share my passion with everyone that walks through my doors. No one has my style, my words and my exact knowledge. That’s what sets us apart from others in the firearms training industry.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
When God promised me a prosperous business!!
