Today we’d like to introduce you to Tina Middleton.
Tina, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started competing and building my social media following/brand back in 2013. I met my husband about a year before then as he started training me for my first NPC show. We had a mutual passion for fitness and helping others getting in the best shape of their life! Some people wanted to compete as they took it to the next level, while others wanted a healthier version of themselves.
We built our online coaching business together as I manage the marketing department and he creates individual programs per client’s request. Through years of working together, we have helped many men and women who achieved their goal physique. Our online programs can be found at www.ifbbprofitness.com include prices and what they are.
With my social media following over 850k between Instagram and Facebook, I was able to attract a few national fitness brands such as Bang Energy drinks and 24-hour fitness as an influencer. I am responsible for brand awareness by creating quality marketing contents on a weekly basis, along with educating my following on fitness/health tips. I truly enjoy the process of creating new marketing materials that allow me to inspire my following to live a healthier lifestyle.
Another business that we have is Ambrose Real Estate. My husband, Ambrose is the Real Estate broker as he started the business in the early 2000s. Both of our backgrounds come from Real Estate as he truly enjoys helping our clients finding a home or selling theirs. We are very detailed oriented and always put our customers first. Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
We all know having a business is never easy. As for our online training, it has gotten very competitive due to the saturation of the market. Everyone can become online coaches nowadays without the credentials and experience needed. Between Ambrose and I, we have over 20 years experience in training with the majority are involved in pro-bodybuilding competitions. The competitions are what I call ‘the extremist of the extreme’ fitness world. We both understand what it takes to have your body reaching for its’ potential. Also, training is very seasonal. From March-September is when we generally have more clients versus the winter season. If you are a full-time fitness trainer, you have to plan for the slow season and have some savings as back-up. With our competitors, the plans are very detailed especially when it gets closer to the show. We are also active in competing which is a bit tougher to train our team during our shows preps.
My husband manages Ambrose Real Estate full time besides our online coaching business. For real estate, you can have one good month and make the entire year’s salary OR you can go months without closing a deal and having to utilize your savings. With both businesses, we have to consistently stay on top and having ‘word of mouth’. I am thankful to have a large social media following in order to help marketing for our businesses.
Ifbb Pro Fitness & Ambrose Real Estate – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am a fitness influencer and a pro-bodybuilding competitor. I help create social media contents with a purpose of pushing for brand awareness such as Bang Energy Drinks and 24 hours fitness. Together as husband and wife, we also have an online coaching business to help fitness competitors or anyone who would like to be in a better shape. I have known for being able to transform from a skinny person to a pro figure competitor in less than two years. I posted many transformation photos online to show my journey and also to say, ‘If I can do it, you can too!’. I also worked with many national brands in the past majority in fitness and health.
My husband also manages Ambrose Real Estate. Currently, he has about 20 agents under his leadership. We provide services anywhere from renting, buying or selling. He also specialized in short sales and foreclosure. With all of our businesses, we stay consistently busy and that is never something we can complain about.
We are very passionate about anything we do. With both of us, we have over 20 years in experience and very hands on with our management style. For our online coaching business, we never cookie-cutter any plans. We do not take on too many clients, therefore we can pay more attention to each person as they deserve. We took each other from amateurs to the pros level together without any outside sources. We understand the commitment it requires and we are eager to help our people get there! As far as myself as a fitness influencer, I stay away from any lewd contents. I believe in truly being a professional at all times, especially when you’re presenting other national brands. Your image equals your business.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I believe success is being able to accomplish your goals either short term or long. And to me, you have to constantly give your best each day to ensure everyday is productive. Whether it’s providing a stellar customer service to being creative with your marketing materials. We have to consistently stay ‘hungry’ so that we desire to achieve more. Each morning I wake up with a purpose for the day. I set out my tasks that I’d like to accomplish and feel rewarding about. There is never a downtime for me if I want to drive our businesses further than where they are now. You have to search for your drive and motivation within you. What does it mean to be successful to you?
