Meet Na’Quirah “Nike” Wallace, Kai Hughes, Davell Turner and Ray “Peanut” Culverson of The Say Less Podcast in Dallas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Na’Quirah “Nike” Wallace, Kai Hughes, Davell Turner and Ray “Peanut” Culverson.

The Say Less Podcast was formed in the Fall of 2019, by Na’Quirah “Nike.” Nike had just recently moved to Dallas and wanted to start a Podcast with her cousin “Kai” and friend from college “Davell.” She had a vision for what the podcast would look like and she knew Kai would bring the structure needed to make the podcast thrive because of her radio experience. Davell, on the other hand, would bring “The Funnies!” You never know what Davell is going to say on the show, so he brings energy like no other lol. Still, the podcast was not complete. Nike asked Davell about adding another male to the mix and he suggested they add Ray “Peanut,” another mutual friend from college. This made complete sense; Peanut brought balance to the show. His wisdom and life experience took them to another level. With Nike being a devil’s advocate, she knew they had the perfect blend of personalities to start something great!

Has it been a smooth road?
It was a smooth road until COVID-19 came into play. We recorded both video and audio at MZ studios, so when “The Rona” came into town, we no longer had a place to record. This has forced us to buy our studio equipment to continue with the show.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
We all love Dallas! After we all graduated from Oklahoma State University, we all somewhat knew we would end up here. Dallas is a place of opportunity career-wise and has a lot of cultural activities to offer. Like any other major city, the cons about Dallas is traffic lol, but we knew what we were signing up for when we moved here.
