Stephanie, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Hey, y’all! My name is Stephanie, and I hand make amazing, infused bath bombs, as well as whipped body frosting and perfume! I started this journey as a simple, money-saving hobby, but it quickly grew into a flourishing business when friends and family kept requesting more and more! I specialize in bath bombs, but have new products always arriving! Bath bombs are everywhere these days, but some people still have no clue what they are! So what exactly is a bath bomb and how does it work? When dropped gently into your bath tub, my bath bombs start to fizz. During this fizzing process, they begin to release their premium essential oils, moisturizing oils, and colors into the bath water! Some colors turn the water a deeper hue than the others — it all depends on the size of your tub and how deep you run your bath! Now, all that’s left to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy your luxurious soak! Don’t forget the wine!!
Has it been a smooth road?
Of course, every small business is going to struggle and mine is no different! My adventure in the bath bomb making business has most definitely not been easy. But I have to say the biggest struggle I have faced is the unpredictable nature of Texas weather. It’s like you’re in chemistry class — you have to have all the accurate measurements, the perfect temperature, and the right amount of humidity, otherwise it could be a disaster!

Whether you’ve been working or managing a household and kids, everyone deserves some ME time! And what better way to relax than to Keep Calm and Fizz On! I sell handmade bath bombs, shower steamers, whipped body lotion, and perfumes in a wide variety of scents. I even sell bath bombs for kids, embedded with toys to keep bath time fun and interesting! What sets me apart from the average bath bomb is that ALL of my products are organic and locally-sourced, and packaged in eco-friendly shrink-wrap. I feel it’s very important to be environmentally-aware and sustainable in our endeavors on this planet, and I know my customer base agrees! Most bath bombs these days are made in factories overseas, so I feel good about putting my handmade American products out in the world! I am so proud of how far I’ve come as a one-woman show. What began as a personal experiment has quickly grown into a flourishing business with products stocked in boutiques all over Texas, shipments going as far as Ireland, and enough online orders to make this little hobby a full-time job!
