Meet Nicolete Wilson of Everything Goes… (Stress•Free•Relief)

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicolete Wilson.

Nicolete, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I first started off wanting to create a site based strictly on my experience with domestic violence. I found this to be too depressing and a lot of people could not relate to the content I posted as awareness. Watching my reach dwindle down, I began to become depressed blogging strictly on abuse. To bring life back into my blog, I began to revamp my blog and called the site “Everything goes… (stress•free•relief). This title speaks to my everyday life. I can blog about my lifestyle and how others could benefit from similar experiences or they may encounter in the future. Everything goes does not limit my topics when it comes to writing a blog. I am able to expand my horizons and open various discussions amongst my followers. This keeps me intrigued to write.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My blogging experience has not always been a pleasant journey. When revamping my blog from strictly speaking about the awareness of abuse I struggled with finding a niche that would represent me. After doing research, I joined multiple webinars to find ways to monetize my blog, find guidance on where to start in general, and driving traffic to my site. Attending webinars eventually turned into dead ends as the majority of host wanted to sell products and not actually help with the start of a blog. People are not always friendly with giving out information pertaining to blogging or not responding to questions.

I also struggled with staying on top of posting articles about everyday life. I didn’t know when was the best time to post an article or how to go about getting attraction to the website. It definitely takes trial and error.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I currently blog about lifestyle topics to keep my followers on their toes. Every post is different and represents what I endure on a day to day basis. My next article is a surprise to my loyal followers as my niche is so broad. I am proud to help others in their everyday life when a question arises. I am very open and transparent with my followers and consistently share my thoughts. Being able to incorporate domestic violence into my lifestyle niche is a good way to bring more awareness to such a diverse following.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite childhood memory was being able to write music in a journal about everything I endured in life. Till this day, I can remember how every song goes. This is the benefit of being able to put my emotions into a song and express myself; very relaxing.
