Today we’d like to introduce you to Bailey Bacon.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
For context, I am a 24 year old mother of 3. My story started six years ago when my first daughter, Isabella, was born. I was a 17 year old with a brand new baby girl and even though I had a super supportive and hard-working husband by my side, I knew I wanted to work my butt off to make sure we could give our family everything and more. God really blessed me with an amazing support system that helped me stay motivated and wanted the best for me and my future just as much as I did. I knew we wanted financial freedom, and it was really important for me to have the freedom in my schedule to spend the time with family that I wanted. I took the first step by taking my first permanent make-up course in 2017, and shortly after that I enrolled in school to specialize in eyelash extensions. I worked full time, tirelessly, doing brows and apprenticing to do eyelash extensions while going to morning and night school.
Once graduated from school, I hit the ground running and never looked back. I’ve taken multiple courses since to expand my knowledge in the industries that I’m in. I’m a master artist and still plan to expand my knowledge even more and always stay up to date with the new advances in my crafts. I have been in business and working for myself for almost three years now and my business, B’s Bombshells, has grown in exponential amounts and I feel so very blessed and grateful for my family, friends, and clients for getting me to where I am thus far. It is only going up from here and I plan on growing in every aspect in the years to come. I’m proud to share my story of being a teen mother and being a successful business owner in the beauty industry, it has been hard over the years and I remember when it felt like I would never get to where I am right now but I am proud of my story and everyone in it, and and now I am so excited to see where we will be in another six years.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not, I was a teen mom X’s 2. I had my first daughter at 17 and my second daughter at 19. It was a very bumpy road and that road included a lot of different obstacles. We had a lot financial burdens, and with that being said it was such a hard decision for me to finally jump the gun and take the course I wanted to and start my schooling. Education is not cheap and there is not a lot of financing options for the classes that I had to take. I also had to figure out childcare for my girls at the time which was added cost and stress. It was a huge leap of faith when I started everything, we were a nervous wreck. At the same time as I was starting my career, we were in the process of buying our first home and that was a whole other type of stress. We were so worried about making sure we were financially stable and I just KNEW that this was going to make that happen for us, and I am so so very thankful my husband supported and trusted me enough to let me prove that.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about B’s Bombshells – what should we know?
We specialize in eyelash extensions, microblading, microshading, ombré powder brows, and lip blushing. I take pride in making every client feel special, valued, beautiful and important. This industry can feel very oversaturated, and I pride myself in the fact that I take my time with every single client and don’t ever rush perfection. I can truly say I do my best to make sure that all of my clients know that I understand that they are choosing me to spend their hard-earned money with and I will always make sure they feel that it was worth it. I love making women, and men, feel beautiful as soon as they wake up in the mornings. All of my services tie into each other, and when all are done there is truly not one thing you would need to do before you go out for the day. Each service is tailored to each client to ensure perfection.
