Meet Logan Boswell of Logan’s Prints in Downtown Dallas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Logan Boswell.

Logan, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Logan’s Prints started from a little boy who saw the world differently. I saw the world in so many creative ways that photography was the way I can capture it through my lens. I’ve always been the shutterbug of my family; every vacation, I was snapping pictures everywhere on my phone. I graduated from Lancaster High School in Lancaster, Texas, and during my junior and senior year, I became the district photographer. They literally had me at every district event they had from Sporting Events, Graduations, Senior Portraits, District Board Meetings, Pep Rally’s and so many more. I was told many times that my photography was great and deserved to be paid for it. I didn’t think I was good enough to be deemed professional but worth hard work and lots of practice in my free time, the quality came.

Logans Prints was Established in May of 2017 and was my way of creatively describing the company. I want to add my prints of captures into the world. I now have a team of models that I’m teaching and building their portfolio. I love to capture raw emotion and authenticity rather than delegate what I want someone to do. A wise man named Richard Curtis From Lancaster ISD told me,” Anyone can take a simple picture of someone smiling, but the best pictures are of emotion and a scene” he then gave an example of a photographer who took pictures during the civil rights movement with Martin Luther King. All in all, I’m a photographer who loves to capture moments in everyone’s life and add my creative touch in the world.

Has it been a smooth road?
It’s been a smooth road for the most part. I’ve had some setbacks with equipment and college and work has started to get in the way of my passion but it’s all about balance in life. I would love to one day achieve my goals of becoming an Art or Creative Director where all forms of arts are my main job but until then ill keep up the good work in college, working full time and in my spare time doing photography.

We’d love to hear more about Logan’s Prints.
Logan’s Prints is a Photography Company that specializes in Portraits but can do all styles from Events, Wedding and Engagement, Headshots, Studio and much more. Logan’s Prints is known for its vibrant colors, clarity and sharpness in its captures and the feeling the picture gives you when your eyes glance upon them. I love to evoke the emotion the model is feeling in the capture because it creates a story for the viewer to be apart of. I am most proud of having my own modeling team full of aspiring models of all races, ages and styles. I live by the words” Live to be different,” which means embrace being different from everyone else because in life, that’s what will set you apart from the next person.

All models apart of my team defy the stereotypes of you have to look a certain way and weigh a certain weight to be a model. I make each of my models comfortable and feel confident in their own natural beauty through the photography that I take. What sets me apart from other photographers is I’m a photographer that will let you lead in achieving what type of shoot you want. I love to capture who you are and not tell you how to act. I’ve been told by everyone I’ve taken pictures of that I make them feel comfortable and at ease during each shoot. Most of all, my passion is Photography and I have a creative eye for it. During briefing before each shoot, ill talk to the client on what they want and I can picture a certain capture in my head and can get that capture pretty quick.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Dallas is starting to become a super busy city, especially with all types of companies moving their HQ’s to the DFW area. With that added traffic, the need for photographers and other artists is steady growing. For someone starting out, you just have to put yourself out there and let your business be known. After a while, you’ll start to have the work come to you but you have to be consistent in the exposure you put your business through. Dallas can improve on using more local photographers and artists for companies and businesses. We won’t be like California but in doing that, we can get a lot closer to how creative and arts drives California and New York are.
