Today we’d like to introduce you to Kendall and Courtney Henderson.
Kendall and Courtney, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Photography has been a hobby of ours for a number of years. When we got married in 2015, we decided to step out on faith and turn our hobby into a company. After much deliberation, we chose the name Captured Photography Studioz. We specialize in photography, videography and graphic design. We seek to create an all in one experience of excellence. We are not just a basic photography company, but a luxury brand that’s forcing the industry to push its standards to the next level. We give Multi-Cultural artists, brands, companies, & individuals a creative space and the opportunity to express and nurture their innovative ideas into a reality.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
There have been a few bumps in the road, just as any company may have. We came into this industry, learning through experience. There were moments of trial and error. Being the new kids on the block in the industry was a tough task. We grew to understand that you are only as strong as your network and that creating genuine relationships was key. So, networking with other professionals and companies and running into great mentors along the way has been one of the things that sustained us in the business and kept us relevant. The next road-block was dealing with a saturated market. We decided to diversify our services and by doing so we elevated to where we needed to be. All the challenges made us a better and stronger company.
Captured Photography Studioz – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Captured Photography studios is operated by a husband and wife duo. Kendall Henderson, who is the main photographer and Courtney Henderson who is behind the scenes for the most part, handling the business dealings and sometimes even creating props for shoots.
We have two great young people that also intern with us and we show them the ins and outs of the business. We specialize in photography, videography and graphic design. We are known for photographing luxury weddings. Even though we are known for luxury weddings, we do capture other special moments for our clients. We are most proud of the growth of the company and that we have remained genuine and humble throughout this journey. We set ourselves apart by not just taking photos but serving our clients and giving them the best experience.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, we both were humble, just as we are now. There were times we didn’t always know what we wanted in life but we have always been determined and hungry and worked hard for what we wanted. We always believe that there’s no substitution for hard work and we also believe that hard work, along with talent and passion, can conquer anything. We try to look at everything from an optimistic point of view but understood that in reality, we will always have challenges that we have to get through.
