Meet Adam Harris of Moodi Entertainment in Arlington

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adam Harris.

Adam, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
It all started when I was 15. I wanted to be an actor. It wasn’t until 19 that I finally took an acting and modeling class and in this class I discovered the art of directing/producing. Growing up the way I did, I never got help from anyone and I never had money to hire people with skill sets to shoot videos for me. So I went and did it myself. I bought a camera, some lights and I began writing scripts. Around 21, I met a few friends and we were going to make a company. We went through a few different names. Since it was going to be my company, I decided to put a piece of my (artist) name into in. I make music as well and my artist’s name is Moodychango. Well, Moody entertainment was already in use by someone else, so I changed the Y to an I and it became Moodi Entertainment. After that point, I created an IG page and began working as Moodi Entertainment until I finally got my LLC this year, 2020. And now I’m working on major projects with a major production company, producer and some of the most famous actors we normally see on TV.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has been extremely hard. A lot of late nights, no sleep, missing events, no money, free work, and people not showing up on set. I meet a lot of people with what I do, and most of the time, only 10 percent fall through with the business we set up. Artists ask for music videos but never schedule. Friends ask to make skits or short films but never write a script or come up with a solid idea. I’ve even had some come with everything but then keep pushing to the back and then going ghost. The hardest part tho is the lack of money. Without it, it’s hard to get actors, equipment and locations. Even props. I just had to learn to work with what I have.

Moodi Entertainment – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Moodi Entertainment is a film production company. I don’t know about most film production companies, but this one has everything in the house, from score music to actors, editors, cameramen, writers, etc. We even have a recording studio, beat producer, music engineer and photographer. The crazy part is everything named here, I, Adam Harris, do. I am a photographer, videographer, director, engineer, actor, model, etc. So I can teach anyone how to be anything.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Our city is great for a business like mine. Everything you need is around the corner, everyone to connect with is a holler away and there’s so much going on that I can get business anywhere.
