Today we’d like to introduce you to Lamar Faulk.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Lamar. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
In 2017, a friend and I decided that we wanted to have a talk show that was based around relationship topics from a male and female perspective. We took to Facebook and created a group which grew pretty fast. We started a weekly show called the “WrapUp,” where we discussed topics and responses from members in our group.
My friend and partner eventually went our separate ways and I continued running the show with new co-hosts. Around 2019, I began to expand and use my skills as a screenwriter and producer more content for the group. I eventually added YouTube broadcasting to the mix. Now we have 7 Channels and ten shows that air on a weekly basis with thousands of followings and over 1 million combined views. As a screenwriter, I’ve had decent success locally. I’ve sold two scripts and have been hired numerous times to consult and to edit and/or write full feature scripts.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s been a pretty difficult road. When dealing with people, it can be challenging, so I’ve had a revolving door trying to get the right people in place to further the mission. Of the 30 plus team members that I have on a consistent basis, many are close friends and as a consequence, I’ve lost many friends in the process of building the business. As a Writer, the challenge is being in Texas versus LA, NY or Atlanta.

My company is TFG (The Faulk Group.) We are a media company that broadcasts original content online including but not limited to political podcasts, cooking shows, sports shows, etc. I’m most proud of the dedication of my core team and our quick success on YouTube, reaching over 1 million views in 60 days. What sets us apart is my personal life experiences, which drive my tenacity to continue to strive.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Future plans include a Network with fully staffed channels that broadcast worldwide. Also, to fully produce my movie scripts to be broadcasted on my own network.
