Today we’d like to introduce you to Rakheem Benjamin aka Quadd21.
Rakheem, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Hey, what’s good I go by Rakheem, aka Quadd21. I am a 23-year-old R&B Singer and my musical journey started at the age of nine, in a small town called Pahokee, FL known as Muck CITY, although music has always been a part of my life, I used to sing in the choir, and my grandmother Viola Davis song with B.B.KING, back in the old days, but I never realized my true talent.
But that all changed when I and my triplet brother Raheem and two other friends song at our 5th-grade graduation. That was the first time I showcased my talent. At that point, after seeing the reaction of the crowd, I fell in love, and a seed was planted forever. Now I’m working with a Dj out of NJ known as Djmillymill609 he produced my new EP called LEOTALK, which was released on August 1st of 2020. Now we have a buzzing Single called UBER going crazy. Has it been a smooth road?
Well on this journey, there will be ups and downs, more cries than smiles and more dark days then Sunny days. Only in the beginning. You were going after your dream. You will lose everything and all contact with love ones, me personally I feel like it has to happen. I’ve realized on this journey, you will have to let go all negative weight just to keep you leveled. Sometimes it’s a bit overwhelming, but you just have to keep remembering why you started. your dream has to be bigger than any situation.
Can you give our readers some background on your music?
Well, I am an R&B recording Artist out of Pahokee, Florida. I make smooth, relaxing. Upbeat tunes for the world. I’m currently working with a record label known as Bentley Records, I’m known for my soft, strong vocals that touch souls every time I open my mouth. What I am most proud of as a company is to just keep creating music. Continuously building and generating more fans and also knowing that you have people that is interested in what you do.
What set me apart from others is that I actually reach out to the ones that support me, I do giveaways just try to make the people feel Worthy and letting them know I appreciate they’re doing, I could say I’m fearless, I’m relentless, my music is different. I don’t care about the fame I just want to sing music it’s what I love, I guess I care about the others Ears, make great music. 🎵
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
What I like best about Dallas is the food, the southern culture is nice beautiful sightseeing beautiful people. What I least like about Dallas is the dry heat. The lack of mountains.
