Today we’d like to introduce you to Kourtney White.
Kourtney, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started singing at the tender age of seven. I would put on a show for my family and they would come faithfully. What’s crazy is that I actually could not sing at all lol. Then one day I asked my mom could I sing a solo at church, she was like, are you sure, I’m like, yep. I shocked the world that day. It was like God kissed my vocal cords and blessed me with a gift. About two years ago, I posted a video of me singing an original song that I wrote. It went viral, garnishing over five million views. Then I did Tennessee Whiskey with my cousin Kenyetta Gray. That video garnished over 30 million views. I am now working on my EP. Can’t wait to share with the world.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s definitely been some challenges. It’s hard chasing a dream. There will be some no’s when you’re trying to reach your goals. No matter what, never give up, that’s not an option. Hard work always pays off!
