Life & Work with Ahliver Dejór

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ahliver Dejór.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Currently, I am a licensed Barber-Stylist located in Garland, TX. I own Ahliver Dejór LLC. I started my journey doing hair in Feb 2017 after discharging from the US Army. I didn’t really have a dream other than the army as a child transitioning into an adult fresh out of high school. After the Army, I wanted a career where I could be doing something I loved to do and make more money at the same time. I finished school Sept 2019 after two dropouts. Each drop I never could let my dream as a celebrity-stylist leave my brain. Literally, I had 146 hrs left of 1500 hrs and dropped out the second time. RESILIENCE is what allowed me to go harder than before to finish school and become licensed in the state of Arkansas first. July 2020, I relocated to Dallas, TX in hopes of soaring and becoming bigger than ever before. I can honestly say my career has been quite promising since. I’ve gone viral on every social media advertising platform that I use: ahliverdejor, Insta: ahliver.dejor, Facebook: Ahliver Dejór. I’ve been posted on Real Hair Fan Page, They Know Info, and blessedwithkurls.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I dealt with a lot of hate and neglect during my transition, however I poured all of my animosity into my career.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I currently servicewoman and men clients doing barbering and cosmetology services at Noah’s Cutz & Stylez in the mall in Lewisville, TX. I specialize in Natural Hair Care. What I am most proud of is the ability and gift to be able to harness a bigger audience. What sets me apart from others is AUTHENTICITY. I don’t strive to be anyone else but myself.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
My view on risk-taking I would have to say the slang saying, “YOLO.” If I died today, could I honestly say I was happy and got everything my heart desired? I would hate to be in another realm and regret not taking a chance or the leap of faith that was meant for me. I risked literally life and freedom in moving, knowing the God has been literally amazing grace walking with me.
