Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Bradt.
Hi Jennifer, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My counseling career began at a community based agency in OK serving women and children who were survivors of domestic violence. Through several moves and changes in my life stage, I decided to open my own private practice in 2008. Planting Seeds was born of a vision to meet the needs of my community in a setting that invited the inclusion of spirituality, whatever that meant to my client at that point in his/her life.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It certainly hasn’t been without uncertainty, doubt and struggle. Each big decision has been made after conversation, consultation and prayer. I have been blessed with wonderful professionals with whom I can collaborate, an unbelievably supportive husband and, most recently, a co-owner who can help share both the burdens and the blessings.
As you know, we’re big fans of Planting Seeds Counseling & Coaching. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Planting Seeds is a group practice focusing on mental health from a holistic perspective. We have 22 clinicians on our team and serve our communities out of two locations, one in Frisco and one in Prosper. Our team sees clients from age 3-late adulthood, both individually and couples/families. We collaborate with registered dietitians, yoga professionals, chiropractors, psychiatrists, and functional medicine practitioners to ensure our clients are truly being “seen” from any perspective that can support their journey towards well-being. Planting Seeds culture is one that is focused on partnership, support and kindness. We truly care about our clients and want each human that enters our space to know that he/she matters and has an important story to share.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
The DFW area certainly offers a variety of exciting activities, it’s hard to be bored where we live! I am an “anything outside” kind of human so I love the lakes, trails, parks, etc the most. My least favorite thing: TRAFFIC!
