Life & Work with Daisha Zhane

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daisha Zhane.

Hi Daisha, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started my journey as an influencer back in 2018, but I’ve been dancing since I was seven years old. I honestly lived in the dance studio. Right after school, I was heading straight to dance classes, and I absolutely loved it and never stopped!

When I danced in college, that’s when life got real for me. I was actually on a dance team at McLennan community college, and after I graduated from MCC I moved on to Sam Houston State University and danced on their dance team as well. Amazing dance teams BTW!!!

I was going through a lot financially and my grades fell so low I got on academic probation! I had to go back home and I was so devastated because I felt like I let my team down, and myself down. I was a mess.

I went back home, and I got approved last minute to get back into school, but I limited my classes so I could gain some control over my life. That’s also when I started my Influencer journey.

Honestly, I was just tapping into it, and I didn’t know what I was doing but it was so fun, and I felt like I was helping people and finding a passion just as strong as dance!

Eventually, I moved back to Huntsville and enrolled as a full-time student after mentally and financially getting back on track, and graduated in 2020. Yes, I was a pandemic graduate!

I remember telling myself, “Okay Daisha… you literally need to start taking your Influencer journey seriously,” and that’s when I fully dove into becoming a content creator, and it’s been the best journey ever. I feel like I’m empowering other women, especially other black women to live their best life and to do what makes them happy. Finding happiness for you and NOBODY else but for you. I’m also able to still do what I love, which is dance and entertain!

I am so thankful for the growth and opportunities so far, and just seeing where God takes me from here!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road definitely hasn’t always been smooth. There’s some days where you feel like giving up, and the only person that can continuously motivate you is you. That’s the hardest part, is continuously showing up every day, and just starting those projects.

I try to surround myself around motivated people. People who are positive, and find solutions! I even unfollow any kind of negativity I see on social media. It’s honestly what you surround yourself around. It makes it easier to overcome challenges and obstacles!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a content creator/Influencer that specializes in dance. Dance is mainly what I’m known for, but I’m going to start tapping into more sides/passions of Daisha you guys may not know on my YouTube channel!

I’m most proud of myself, and I rarely say that only because I’m so hard on myself. I’m just proud that I believe in me so much, and no matter how many “no’s” I get or setbacks I come across, I am still going to make it happen.

What sets me apart from others is my drive, my authenticity, and my faith in God! Period!

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
The best way to collaborate with me is to just simply reach out to me, either through my email or DM’s! I am always checking my DM’s/emails for collaborations either with other creators or brands.

The best way you guys can support me is by following me @daishazhane on Instagram. Also, subscribing to my new YouTube channel “Daishazhane”. There will be vlogs, hauls, dance content, reviews, all kinds of fun stuff. I’m so excited to start that journey with you guys as well!

I appreciate all the support I receive from my family, friends, and followers. You guys literally keep me going!
