Today we’d like to introduce you to Kendal Wooten.
Hi Kendal, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
I had my first photoshoot when I was 11 years old. It was for a cheerleading apparel company and from that first shoot, I was hooked. My mom reached out to some local modeling agencies and I signed with my first agency within months. And I really have not stopped since then. Over the past 6 years, I’ve had so many amazing opportunities to model in other States and even in other countries. In the beginning, I took whatever jobs I could get and even paid for opportunities to shoot with some incredible photographers from across the world just to get experience. But now, I’ve reached the point in my modeling career where I am blessed to get paid to do what I love.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has been fairly smooth but definitely took time and patience. It’s easy to get discouraged when you don’t see things happening as fast as you would like them to. But now I can look back and see that I needed that time to learn and grow to be a better model. And I’m still continuing to learn and grow every day.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a teen model, athlete, influencer, and actor. But my favorite thing by far is modeling. I think the thing that I am most proud of is that I have managed to stay grounded and positive about myself in an industry that can be tough on your self-esteem. I want younger girls to be able to look up to me so I try my best to be a positive role model and lead by example.
