Life & Work with Triple D Yungin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Triple D Yungin.

Triple, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I was conceived in 1993 at Parkland hospital to Vanessa Ward & Larance Smith. Growing up in Oak Cliff, in a poor, drug-infested Community (Best 4 Less aka BFL) wasn’t the easiest task but I survived it. My mother, father and closest siblings had all been affected by the crack pandemic of the ‘80s, which made me a crack baby. My grandparents and siblings all took turns trying their best to raise me, even aunties and cousins as well. The streets had been the only consistent thing in my life since the age of 8 and eventually, I took a wrong turn in life. By the age of 16, I was sent to prison (TDCJ) where I spent 6 years for aggravated robbery. While incarcerated I begin to feed my brain and spirit knowledge of self. I spent majority of my time writing books and music and devising a strategy to put everything in motion once I was released. After release, I was able to start GrindGreedyGMN Enterprises LLC where we not only distribute music but literature and custom-made apparel as well. Grind Greedy, it’s a way of life.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Of course not. I was a born a crack baby so drugs has been a part of my life since birth. My closet siblings were affected by drugs along with both of my parents. Gang banging and violence has always been present also.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I create music that is relatable to my people in the trenches all around the world. I’m also a published urban fiction author and fashion designer. Everything I Do Is For The Ghettos Across America

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I also do motivational speaking and Community services in poverty inclined areas around Dallas Texas
