Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Salinas.
Hi Ashley, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Where do I start? I’m a mother of two and wife. I started my journey into nails when I still was working full time at a corporate job a few years ago. My husband was my main driving force to try nails out and I ended up loving it since I already had a creative background in fashion so I saw this as another outlet. School was challenging being a mom a wife and working full time. I also quickly learned that acrylic was not my friend I would go home every day with headaches from working it in school. So, I developed a love for gel and I mean all things gel… regular gel, polygel, hardgel builder gel you name it I was learning since I knew acrylic was something I would not be working with once I graduated. Building clientele, I already knew it wasn’t going to be easy but now I also wasn’t going to offer one of the most popular services in the industry. I started off by making a little suite area in the back of our barbershop where I would take clients. Fast forward to the pandemic year and I was let go from my corporate job which scared the crap out of me but it made me work harder to get the clientele I needed to make that income back. Getting let go from my job was a blessing because I was scared to take the leap myself but go helped me with that transition. I was definitely scared when it happened because it provided security. Now it’s 2 years into working for myself and I’ve not only built my clientele but I’ve also opened up a fume-free (acrylic) boutique nail salon and we just hit a year of the salon being open!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It’s been bumpy like I was saying it was scary getting out here knowing that I wasn’t going to be providing a popular service.

I am a licensed nail technician and salon owner I specialize in all things Gel (gel manicures, hardgel, builder gel, Apres gel x, and polygel. I most known for providing all things gel. I’m most proud of being a salon that doesn’t offer acrylic services and I am providing a healthier product to grow my clients’ natural nails and my clients can still get the long extensions that they want without damaging their nail beds. What sets me apart from others is the services I offer
