Today we’d like to introduce you to Nehal Kaiser.
Hi Nehal, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My entrepreneurship story began at LA Fitness where I started my journey as an entry-level salesman and slowly and tediously worked my way up to the highest level of Executive Corporate Leadership as a VP, which didn’t satiate my hunger to grow and achieve limitless success in the business world.
This unsatisfied hunger led me to take a huge risk and leave the corporate world, during the height of the Covid pandemic and the pinnacle of financial uncertainty, to tackle my first entrepreneurship endeavor- Rafter Roofing. My vision was endless and I drafted the blueprint for Rafter Roofing to be a stepping stone to something much greater than I imagined.
These wild ambitions eventually transpired into Blue Hammer Roofing- the ultimate canvas to paint my masterpiece of a company built by my people- for my people. It would serve as platform to finally engineer a venture that thrived off of a highly effective sales environment without a cutthroat culture; rather a culture designed with fabric that consisted of family values, companionships, camaraderie, and a shared inspiration of a workplace where we could protect, elevate, and attain unimaginable financial success- together!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Any true businessman or woman knows it is never a smooth road in entrepreneurship. The moment when you feel like you’re on cruise control is usually when the brakes start heating up and giving out.
Although any form of great entrepreneurship must have its various challenges, one of the most notable challenges I faced was transitioning from a place of power and knowledge at LA fitness to a position of vulnerability and inexperience in the roofing industry. Leaving a throne of product mastery and accomplishment to tackle a rugged and ruthless industry while taking on half a million dollars in debt can shake the strongest of convictions.
Rafter Roofing was the beginning of a path that led me to reach out for help and connect with my current business partners, and that decision ultimately took us from a struggling, insignificant company to one who’s brand name is now contagious in the many cities in the country and is on pace to earn over 100 million dollars in 2022.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Blue Hammer Roofing and Solar is an organization founded on our core principles- family, loyalty, tough honest love, extreme ownership, and the pursuit of excellence. We are more than just a roofing and solar company. We are a family that shattered the barriers of slimy tactics and cutthroat competition while thriving on value, professionalism, transparency, and energetic youth in a trade that was once previously dominated by the older generation.
Our most noticeable differentiator is our style, charisma, and relentless need to perfect customer service skills in a once ruthless and mucky industry. You can spot a Blue Hammer project manager from miles away just from their demeanor, attitude, and even looks. We empower our people, men and women alike, to decimate stereotypes and achieve financial freedom while achieving excellence in their business and personal lives. To us, our responsibility to impact our people extends past regular working hours, rather it’s a 24/7 obligation that we have taken on proudly.
How do you define success?
Success to me is setting unrealistic goals and crushing them while fulfilling your trusts to the people you ride with day in and day out! Success is owed to your fellow colleagues, your family, and most importantly, to the following generations who will mold their lives and ambitions on your achievements. It is having the courage to proclaim “I will go out and dominate this sector by any means necessary”, and then going out there and doing just that, regardless of the circumstances.
Success is not just defined by wealth; it’s quite the opposite. Wealth is the byproduct of grinding daily to excel in every aspect of your life, including impacting others by adding value through your leadership and performance. We believe that if value is truly added, wealth and fulfillment will follow.
