Today we’d like to introduce you to Joseph Teixeira.
Hi Joseph, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
It all started in Visalia California where I grew up on a dairy farm. I graduated from high school in Visalia and continued working on the farm.
One day I up and decided to enlist in the United States Army as a Cavalry scout. I spent three years at Fort Bliss in El Paso Texas. I was deployed to Syria during my time in the Army.
After my time in the military ended, I decided to get into law enforcement and was hired on by the Carrollton Police Department in 2019. Since then, I have recently begun doing real estate as a secondary job.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It hasn’t always been easy but it sure has been fun. Learning the job was challenging but looking back at the hard times I just laugh because what else can I do? I made it right?
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I currently work in patrol at the police department. I’d like to think I’m known for being a hard worker and a dedicated police officer. My proudest moments are anytime I can help bring closure to people who have been victimized.
As far as real estate I’m fairly new but I enjoy helping people who are buying their first home. I like being able to make people feel comfortable in the process of home buying.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
For real estate, I’m thinking the market will have to slow down eventually. It’s been so hot for so long! But either way, I’m going to enjoy the ride and be ready for whatever is thrown at me!
