Rising Stars: Meet Jose Baldazo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jose Baldazo.

Hi Jose, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I started my career as a firefighter/paramedic in a very busy 911 emergency system. Making 30 calls in a 24-hour period was taking a toll on my health. I retired to pursue a nursing career with the end goal of becoming a chiropractor. My father had instilled a holistic mindset toward health and wellness. My chiropractor at the time, Dr. Brian Hooten introduced me to the power and benefits of ozone therapy. While in nursing school, I started an internship at the Kotsanis Institute. The internship parlayed into a part-time job where I learned more about alternative IV therapies. After nursing school, I worked at two other infusion clinics. I introduced ozone therapy to both clinics. I helped implement IV ozone therapy at one of the clinics which is now a big player in the Dallas IV therapy market.

There was something about working for and taking orders from lay people with no medical experience/background that struck me as fundamentally wrong. So, my wife suggested we start our own clinic. Before starting the clinic, I sought training in Ozonotherapy from the President of the American Academy of Ozonotherapy, Dr. Frank Shallenberger, MD. I also sought training in the Fundamental and Clinical Applications of IV Nutrient Therapies taught by Drs. Paul Anderson, ND, and Virginia Osborne, ND and training in Orthobiologics in Regenerative Medicine. We attend various training courses throughout the year to keep up with the latest and greatest in medicine.

We initially teamed up with a Dr with whom I worked in the ER. He was instrumental in helping us launch the clinic. In 2021, we changed things up a bit by bringing Dr. Kouri on board as our medical director, who is more aligned with our functional medicine outlook and vision. He has helped us launch our Hormone Replacement Therapy. He also works closely with Nicole Aschenbrenner, our nurse practitioner, and Chelsee Albo, our Institute of Functional Medicine certified RN. Our team has grown significantly since we started and has enabled us to expand our services and offerings.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has been relatively smooth. It is always humbling when we go from feast to famine. Labor scheduling can sometimes be a struggle.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I started my medical career as a firefighter/paramedic before transitioning into nursing. Now I am working on my Master’s in Nursing with a focus on Family Nurse practitioners. Along my journey, I have gained advanced training in ozonotherapy, intravenous orthomolecular therapies, orthobiologics therapy, hormone replacement therapy, and peptide therapy. We are known for our ozone therapy protocols. I’m most proud of the thousands of people we’ve helped overcome their health obstacles and regain their health and wellness. What sets us apart from others is our individualized health protocols. Everything we recommend is based on the individual’s needs and goals.

What do you think about luck?
I have been pretty lucky in my personal life. We have been quite fortunate with our business. Through our hard work and perseverance, we’ve been fortunate with our business.
