Rising Stars: Meet Crystal White

Today we’d like to introduce you to Crystal White. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Born in Dallas, Texas, Crystal had a childhood that had significant chaos and challenges. As a survivor of childhood domestic violence, she has passionately dedicated her time to support non-profit organizations that help victims of domestic violence. She has been an Executive Board Member for shelters that support victims of DV in the Dallas area for several years. Her background and compassionate nature has been the driving force for helping raise thousands of dollars in funds and helping numerous community events. Crystal has used her city, state, national, and international pageantry titles as a platform to help raise awareness against domestic violence. She is the current Ms. Dallas Texas Earth and looks forward to competing for a new state title in March of 2023. Along with pageantry, she has also graced the covers of several magazines and even walked the runways for several designers in New York Fashion Week. Along with having pageantry and modeling as a hobby, she is also active in White Tiger Taekwondo Martial Arts with her 7-year-old son and also coaches her son’s little league basketball team.

Working through multiple challenges, Crystal has achieved her BBA, MBA and graduate from Harvard Business School. She is currently in a doctorate program and expects to earn her Ph.D. in 2024. She has also just launched her first book titled, “Treading your own path,” in hopes to help encourage others to overcome adversity and achieve their goals. Crystal uses her educational credentials to excel in her successful career in the National Defense Industry. She has worked for Defense Contractors who support United States Military contracts for the past two decades. Her busy and passionate life is dedicated to her deep love of family, community God, and country, and anyone who knows her knows that she seeks to live a life of love, compassion, and encouragement to others. She strives to be a living example that people do not have to view themselves as “damaged” from their backgrounds, but a challenging background can be a driving factor to living a life of love and purpose.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road hasn’t been smooth and the road has had its share of potholes and challenges, to say the least. As a single mom, life is full of challenges, but parenthood is the most joyous relationship, bond, and love I could have ever dreamed of. I look back at the road that has had abusive, toxic relationships, grief, loss, etc., I consider every step a blessing because it led me to where I am today. Today, I look in the eyes of my little boy and have such a heart of gratitude because of the life I now have with him.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a published author and am promoting my first book, “Treading your own path.” (Available on Amazon)

I also specialize in supporting the Supply Chain needs for National Defense Contractors. I also specialize in the Supply Chain efforts for foreign military funding efforts.

I am also known for mentorship for youth in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math projects in the community.

I am most proud of my steadfast dedication and commitment to helping those who are not in a position to help themselves.

What sets me apart? Well, with my background in National Defense, I really am a beauty queen who is actively engaged in world peace.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
My first book is in the “self-help” and Christian category. Technology is making is easier to self-publish books, so I expect to see growth in the self-publishing area, and this will enable many more people to achieve their dreams of being a published author. This also means that there will be more book genres and topic available that may not have content vetted as thoroughly in the past.
