Check Out Salvador Medina’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Salvador Medina. 

Hi Salvador, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
My passion for fashion and my dreams of being a designer began at an early age. I studied at the Technological University in the southwest of Guanajuato, in the city of Valle de Santiago. I took some complementary courses there and at other schools that were the ones that gave me the knowledge and led me where I am today. In 2019 I made the decision to migrate to the United States and settle in the city of Dallas. With all the knowledge that I learned and had, I got the opportunity to dress two TV and radio personnel for a Latino award show called “Premios la Radio 2019.” Then little by little my brand began to have visibility; My works has been tailored to people, and since then I have achieved participations in several fashion shows along the way. The most recent organized by an agency called ICON MODEL MANEGEMENT at the “WINTER WORDENLAND FASHON SHOW” where the reviews of my work were very outstanding. 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been an easy path since it involves a lot of work and investment in each collection that I make. Nevertheless, God has put the right people in my way, and thanks to them I have been able to boost my business. That allows for many more people or potential clients to admire my work. As of now, I would consider my greatest challenge would be to learn English since my first language is Spanish. This has not stopped me since the time I have been here I have put it into practice, and I understand it and I can speak considerably. I do however wish to speak it fluently, that would open so much more doors for me. Another goal of mine would be to save the necessary capital to be able to open in my own boutique in Dallas, where I can exhibit my work and serve all my current and future clients. 

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a fashion designer and I specialize in haute couture that ranges anywhere from gala dresses, brides, and special occasions. I am recognized for my unique designs and for my way of working the materials when designing from tulle to fabric with rhinestones. 

I am very proud of my evolution as a designer, there is a big difference between my first work and my current work. 

I consider that my difference with other businesses in my same field is the quality with which I work. The proposal in each collection that I make. I take care of all the procedures of each garment which includes design, sale, confection, and finishes.
