Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Well, I started doing hair wayyyyy back in middle school! I was on & off for years because of the lack of consistency with clientele! But I truly love the passion I have for what I do & I am always open to learning more & new things!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it has not! Since being here in Arlington, we’ve (my husband & I-he’s also my business partner) been trying to find an actual salon space so we can FINALLY open our full-service salon! But the finances aren’t there, especially since the pandemic started in 2020 and unfortunately, the SBA wouldn’t approve us a loan!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a licensed hairstylist located in the entertainment district of Arlington, TX. I specialize in natural hair & braid styles. I am most proud of not giving up! That’s the easy way out and my ultimate goal is to be financially free with my full-service salon and take care of my family! What sets me apart from others is my drive and dedication!
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
My happiness comes from my husband and kids! They are there with me each and every step of the way! When everyone else is looking away, they’re still there making sure I stay on a straighten arrow!
