Drum Arsenal Productions is the personal recording studio of drummer and mixing engineer Christian Dorn. Christian founded this studio in 2015 after seeing a need from clients for high-quality remote drum recordings and mixing services. Drum Arsenal Productions now works with clients from around the world and helps them bring their music to life.
The Drum Arsenal Productions website and blog is also becoming a central hub for musicians and creatives. The Drum Arsenal Productions’ Studio Library is a growing resource of information and content on music production, organization, and promotion.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Creating Drum Arsenal Productions and running a recording studio has been a series of mostly ups and just a few downs for studio owner Christian Dorn. The biggest hurdle has been managing artist timelines and making sure recordings and mixes are completed at a high quality and in a timely manner. Being a one-man shop, Christian Dorn has to do many different jobs throughout any given week. Session drummer, mix engineer, web designer, client relations, label relations, marketing, and advertising manager are all roles that get filled by Dorn week in and week out. Time management has become a key to Drum Arsenal Production’s success and quality in the studio world.
We’ve been impressed with Drum Arsenal Productions, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Drum Arsenal Productions is a recording studio that provides drum tracks, percussion tracks and mixes for clients around the world.
This studio was built by drummer Christian Dorn in 2015. Christian’s skill behind the drums and in the studio has made him a first call drummer in the Texas and national music scenes. Christian has worked with artists like Eleven Hundred Springs, Bart Crow, and American Idol’s Fritz Hager.
Drum Arsenal Productions has quickly become a go-to resource for artists, musicians, and producers who want high-quality studio drum tracks and radio-ready mixes available quickly and efficiently. Christian frequently works with creatives from around the world, and Drum Arsenal Productions works with everyone from amateur artists to major label productions.
One big thing I am proud of is the new free resources available on the Drum Arsenal Productions website. The Studio Library and Blog are both growing resources that creatives can access for free and turn their music into money.

Starting in the recording industry can be a daunting task. One of the biggest pitfalls is the initial cost of entry. One of the best pieces of advice I can offer is to think through what kind of services you want to offer and what need there is in the industry for those services. Having a clear plan makes it easier to decide what gear and equipment is needed.
