Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I have a passion for home decor and started making Instagram reels, then slowly started making DIY decors for home. I converted my hobby into my profession by starting Indian traditional decors for events such as housewarming, baby shower, etc. This also boosted my social media presence, where my Instagram followers reached over 100K, with some of the reels having millions of views. Icing on the cake was when one of my Instagram video reached 30M views.
So here I am following my hobby as my passion.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Doing DIY decors as a hobby is totally different than converting it as a business, with changing trends, I have to keep the decor materials relevant for every changing trend. Logistics of moving the items in a car is another challenge. Keeping my 4-year-old busy with productive work or play while I work on the decor is a task in itself. Being a full-time Youtuber, Social Media influencer & handling a business while taking care of the toddler is not an easy task; however, women are special and have the abilities to overcome all of these, which makes us special.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I love interacting with people and learning new things, I am a YouTuber and Instagram content creator with over 130K followers. I specialize in traditional Indian decor & DIY crafts.
I felt extremely happy when one of my first video reached million views, however, the exceptional news came when one view hit 30 million views.
There are others in the same space, however, I think my creativity and managing best design within the constrains puts me apart from others.
What are your plans for the future?
Future plan is to grow more on Youtube, increase the number of Indian traditional decors projects from current count. Planning collaborations with some other vendors to bring better subtle decors to the trend.
