Through our research for the Inspiring Stories series we have come across so many breathtaking photos of the amazing souls that make our city such a great place to live. In depth interviews are at the heart of Voyage but with our Portraits series we want to use the powerful medium of photography to highlight some of our favorite people from various parts of the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Below you’ll find some of our favorites from in and around Dallas – we encourage you to click into the profiles and check out all of these incredible folks.

Y’all, we got SUPER TEXAS scarves, from local artist @allisoncastilloart! – We fell in love with the “Super Texas – Otomi inspired” scarf when a co-worker wore it to work. We loved to learn that a Fort Worth native who comes from a long line of artists, Allison Castillo, designed it! #shoplocal – Allison specializes in acrylic on canvas and does very few graphic design projects, but we’re happy she turned her art into fashion for this scarf! She is known for vivid colors and her art can be seen as intense and combative. – One of us actually plans to frame the scarf and hang it as art! It’s just that beautiful and a fun way to rep the Lonestar State!! Visit allisoncastilloart.com&quot if you are interested in this scarf ($59) and her other artwork!!
