Today we’d like to introduce you to Robyn Chavarria.
Hi Robyn, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always had this thing for old houses, their design, and their history. In 2001, I moved to East Dallas and started to learn more about the homes in the area. I loved being so close to Swiss Ave and Munger Place. Interestingly, I later found out that my grandmother was a Realtor with Ebby (and lived on Victor St in the 70s). She and my grandfather were also involved in the Munger Restoration project at the time. My love for homes definitely comes deep-rooted. In 2005, I decided to jump in to real estate classes. By the next year, I was licensed and left my job as a retail manager. Over the years, I’ve mostly been with boutique-style brokerages that are more catered to the clients and not quotas. I’ve developed a mindset of service with integrity and believe that each client should be treated like family. Since my very first deal (an apartment lease), I knew this was where I was meant to be. The honor I felt with helping a young couple find a home for the next chapter in their life had me hooked. I’m currently a supervisor in my office and able to share my experience with other agents.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has definitely been a wild ride to say the least. 2008-09 was just around the corner, and I was still a pretty fresh agent. I spent that time focused on leasing and had some pretty incredible months. I also had some bad months in that time frame. I ended up bartending in Uptown and Greenville Ave to get through it all. It definitely taught me how to survive in real estate and how fast things could change.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Our brokerage is committed to providing exceptional value to our clients. We offer a unique program called “Revive” that helps sellers update their homes before listing, ensuring that their properties stand out in the market. As a custom home builder, we provide a one-stop shop for clients looking to buy or build their dream homes. Our agents earn a commission on these projects as well, making it a great opportunity for them to increase their income.
At our brokerage, we believe in transparency and fairness. This means that clients can trust us to provide top-notch services at a reasonable cost.
We are committed to helping our agents succeed, which is why we provide them with leads and support to help them build their businesses. We take a personalized approach, tailoring our services to each agent’s unique needs and goals.
Being that I have 16 years of experience and now a supervisor, I like to be an open line to the agents when a question arises. Every transaction is different, and each can be a great learning opportunity. I take pride in helping other succeed in their goals, and I’m always looking for the next great idea.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I love networking! I’m a social butterfly, and that really helped jump-start this career. There are networking groups to join, mixers, and quarterly events hosted by top industry names. I find it hard to be successful without getting out there. You’ll never know who will be there or what you will learn. It’s a great way to grow.
