Check Out Nicole Thomas’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Thomas.

Nicole Thomas

Hi Nicole, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I have over a decade of experience working as an Executive Assistant. It was a profession that I loved and thrived in. I always said that if I’m making the day of my VP / Executive run more smoothly, efficiently, and streamlined, then I was doing my job well. I enjoyed handling meeting & event planning, travel, expenses, all of the smaller daily tasks that needed to be completed so that my manager would be able to focus on their business for the day. Now as a wife to an awesome husband and mom to three incredible children, I still wanted to help people streamline their day and assist with whatever tasks I could to make their day easier. Whether you are a C-Level Executive, a stay-at-home parent, or anyone in between, Life is Always Busy and there never seems to be enough time to get everything done. This is where Busy Bee was conceptualized. We are the Personal Concierge & Errand Service here to give everyone an extra hand. The help we all need to get everything completed. Busy Bee can assist with everything from event planning to picking up dry cleaning, dinner reservations, gift wrapping, and pretty much anything you can think of in between. Life is BUSY; We’ll BEE here to help.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
We are a small start-up, and I am blessed to say that with a lot of hard work and dedication it has been a fairly smooth road. It is always a struggle to balance work and family, especially with the extra hours going into a new business. However, it is important for me to set an example for my children to chase after their dreams and make those dreams into a reality.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Busy Bee Frisco is a unique Personal Concierge & Errand Service. We are set apart due to our attention to detail, customer service, and most importantly the large scope of what we handle. With over 20 years combined experience we are equipped to assist with everything from the Boardroom to the Ballroom to your Backyard.

Meeting and Event Planning is probably one of the most enjoyable aspects of our business as we love seeing the vision of our clients come to life and personalizing those events in such a way to make them successful and memorable for all of the attendees.

Personally, I love the shopping and gift wrapping, knowing that those details will bring great joy to others when they receive them.

There’s also the side of running errands and picking up needed medications, groceries, or special gifts for senior citizens who may not be able to easily get out of the house. The ability to ease the stress of someone recovering from surgery or a new mom who needs to focus on the baby and not picking up school supplies for her older children. The biggest blessing in our day is being able to help our clients have their days run more smoothly & give them back the gift of time.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk-taking.
When it comes to taking a risk there’s two ways it can go. Either it will be the best choice you ever made or a (possibly huge) learning experience. We only live once, so why not go for it? For me, risk-taking is summed up by caring less about the possibility of it not working and working as hard as I can to know I am doing everything possible to create the best outcome.
