Life & Work with Brice Beathley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brice Beathley.

Brice Beathley

Hi Brice, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
• Originally From Buffalo NY Born and raised

• Started DJing when I was 13 years old

• During these times I was in a battle with throat cancer at a young age music was the only option to keep me busy. With God’s’ mercy I successfully beat the cancer. and wanted to use my second chance voice thus becoming DJ wire

• I became a powerhouse in my own city and the surround areas. throwing my own events, and hosting (this part sounds easy, but it was a lot of groundwork; I just summed it up)

• At 21 I landing my first job at the number 1 hip-hop station in the city at nights

• From there I gained many connections, did great work, and became a force to be reckoned with.

Now

What happens when you feel like you done all you can?

You change it up: my girlfriend (still my girlfriend) was moving to Dallas with her family. She convinced me to check it out before making a big leap. I came down here and instantly needed to leave the hometown. so much more to offer. Again, it wasn’t easy coming down here and making a name for myself as well (the groundwork was just as tuff as it was when I was a 13–14-year-old boy.

Now I’m on the number one hip hop station in the metroplex 97.9 the beat I’m a part of the world-famous the heavy hitters DJ crew. I DJ in the hottest clubs in the DFW and the best part about I can provide for my family

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Man, I moved out here literally $500 to my name. I lost my wallet with all the money on it boarding the plane from my hometown. it’s been a challenge since I stepped off the plane but that was the energy about it, not nobody but ready to win, willing to work hard for what I want

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I create moments I create sounds I specialize in my clients (the people, the events goers) walking away at the end of the night feeling fulfilled and beyond satisfied with my DJ set. I set the vibes each time and I feel like no other DJ in the world can do like I do. I separate myself from others by not being like others. taking that road less traveled I studied Dallas like it was SAT prep before I even started gigging

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the COVID-19 crisis?
As a person who works for themselves, Save Money save money save money. The independent entertainment business took the biggest hit, in my opinion, during covid. That’s the key lesson I learned my second lesson is invest in something that will make you money in your sleep. Whether it is stocks properties, small investments, etc.
