Today we’d like to introduce you to Clarissa Rezende. They and their team shared their story with us below:
C. Rezende is a family company that we started in São Paulo, Brazil. Me and my two sisters Camila and Carolina, are business partners, and we have been working together for more than 15 years.
After doing the most amazing parties in Brazil we had the opportunity to do an event in New York where we met the stylist, Rachel Zoe.
A year later, she invited us to go to Los Angeles and do her son’s birthday party.
That was an incredible experience that opened a lot of doors for us.
A few months later, we had the chance to do a party for Sophia Vergara that is our client until today. She also opened a lot of doors for us here.
That period, we were back and forth to Brazil, and we decided 8 years ago to move to Los Angeles for good.
Since then, we have been doing the most beautiful parties around the country.
We always loved Dallas because we have family here so with the desire of expending the company, we moved here 3 years ago and now we stay between Dallas, Los Angeles, and São Paulo.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I think the biggest challenge we faced was moving to a new country and start a new company. The culture differences and the starting over again after achieving a great network of clients in Brazil was definitely not easy.
We had to establish not only out business but also rebuilt our personal life.
We also had to learn all the events bureaucracy here that are very different from Brazil.
With a lot of work and dedication, we overcame the challenges and couldn’t be happier now.
We’d love to hear about what you think about risk-taking.
We believe in taking conservative risks. We think that to grow your business you have to be open to take some risks and try new things so you’re always ahead to provide your clients new experiences.
At the same time, being in this business for so long, we also know where to take those risks and where to be more conservatives and respect the old ways.
