Today we’d like to introduce you to Vincent Salazar.
Hi Vincent, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Vincent Salazar; I’m a military veteran, and got convicted of a case with my brother-in-law back in 2005 and serve 7 1/2 years on an eight-year sentence. (first-time offense) I got out in 2012, got in the car business, got through 4 1/2 years of probation, and started Roofing. Me and my wife opened up our company two years ago, done well, and never look back. We have since then opened up two more companies and look to help others financial freedom and be a part of the team.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Well, getting a job, finding a place to live, and transportation were some of the many obstacles. It was ridiculous. Not to mention, my probation officer making me jump through every loop and hoop possible, even though I was making six figures on probation. It’s really difficult to become an instrumental role in society. Expectations are ridiculous and an “it is what it is mentality.” There’s never enough resources to help convicted felons.
We’ve been impressed with Salazar Roofing and Remodeling, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are a roofing company specializing in roof replacements and remodeling. We are woman and veteran-owned and specialize in high-quality workmanship and customer service. Our attention to detail and integrity is what sets us apart from other general contractors. We proudly serve the DFW area and would love the opportunity to earn anyone’s trust.
What matters most to you? Why?
Integrity is a very important characteristic to me. That we do what we say we’re gonna do and not stop until the customer is happy!!!
